Based on Matthew 5:13-17, our class wants to have and share "spice" and "flavor" in our lives and with those around us. Our class time is thought provoking, fun and energetic. Our ages range from young to "seasoned" adults. Most of us have children that are in high school or children that are grown and several of us are grandparents. Each Sunday, we enjoy breakfast during class - anything from donuts to muffins to breakfast burritos. We also have a time to share prayer requests and praises.
We also meet once a month (the third Saturday), either at a restaurant or at a home for an evening of fun, food and fellowship. We enjoy friendly competition between the women and the men as we play games (sometimes the women let the men win). Members can check the Noteworthy page for details.
In order to practice being "salt and light", we adopt ministry projects from time to time. One of our projects was to provide bedding for bunk beds that a team from our church built for a school in Mexico. We have also collected non-perisable food items for the Food Pantry of Katy Christian Ministries and provided toys for children at Christmas. We recently sponsored a hole at the Rice Bird Golf Tournament that benefits Westland's youth mission trip.
We would love for you to join us as we serve our Lord.
